Welcome to our web site. Gel-Ride has been around since 1992, manufacturing quality  shock-absorbing gel products in Edmonton Alberta, Canada.

Gel-Ride Gets Around
Gel-Ride™ Seat Savers have been selling throughout the United States, Canada, England, and as far afield as New Caledonia (a South Pacific island between Australia and Fiji). The person who bought this Seat Saver went on a one-year horse trip on Australia’s Bicentennial National Trail, a 5330 km route through Australian bush, wilderness and mountain areas. A great place for a Gel-Ride™ Seat Saver!

When the engineers at the GTM radio telescope in Pueblo, Mexico had trouble transporting delicate components to their site in the mountains, they tried foam padding but eventually decided on Gel-Ride gel to provide the shock-absorption they needed. Gel-Ride pads have been used on 100 miles rides in the USA, polo ponies in Argentina, and racehorses in Canada. Custom-made gel pads are used by Medieval Times in Florida, jousting competitors, and on gaited horses and mules.

Features

Gel-Ride saddle pads were featured in articles in the Western Horseman (January 2008) and the Western Horse Review (2007) among others.

Trade Shows

In September 2006 and March 2007 we had a booth at the CanAm trade show, meeting with our dealers in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

January 2005 - We attended the Stanley KOP show for tack stores in Philadelphia PA. A great chance to connect with our retailers and visit the historic Valley Forge site.

Spruce Meadows Masters - In September 2004, 2005, and 2006, Gel-Ride was pleased to attend the internationally acclaimed Spruce Meadows Masters as guests of Cole's Western Wear.

July 2004 - We attended the Summerama show in Palgrave, Ontario, Canada. A beautiful venue for the show.

September 2004 - We will be attending the Masters Tournament at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you have never been there, it is well worth a visit to this beautiful premiere venue nestled near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. See their website at www.sprucemeadows.com

Art Commissioned

Artist Jonathan Roth, also known as the artist "Kitsuné", was commissioned to do cartoons of potential Gel-Ride users (i.e., those with sore rear ends or sore horses!). Jonathan was chosen partly for his amazing talent and partly because although he now lives and works in the USA, he is a home-town boy from Edmonton, Alberta, where Gel-Ride originated and where we still make the pads. See Jonathan's work on his web site at http://www.kitsunestudios.com/.
